01Who We Are

ClearSignal Wellness is a DBA of REBDE Enterprises, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide a mobile application designed to help individuals manage and recover from compulsive behaviors through daily check-ins, personalized content, and momentum tracking.

ClearSignal Wellness is a wellness tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for licensed medical or mental health care.

02What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the app and personalize your experience:

• Account information: Email address and display name (or pseudonym) used to create your account.
• Check-in data: Urge levels (1–10), triggers you select, notes you write, and whether you experienced a relapse. This is the core data that drives your personalized experience.
• Voice recordings (optional): If you use voice check-in and explicitly consent, your voice recording is transcribed and the transcript is stored. The raw audio is stored only temporarily for processing and deleted after transcription unless otherwise stated. You control this in Settings.
• Usage data: Which exercises you open, how you rate content, how often you check in. Used to improve recommendations.
• Device and technical data: App version, device type, and crash reports. Used for debugging and reliability.

We do not collect your precise location, browsing history, contact list, or financial data.

03How We Use Your Data

• To operate the app and deliver your personalized check-in results and content recommendations.
• To calculate your momentum temperature and streak progress.
• To improve content quality and recommendation accuracy over time.
• To send optional reminders if you enable notifications.
• To diagnose and fix technical problems.

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Where third-party services are used, we configure them not to use your data for model training where such controls are available. We do not sell your data to advertisers or build profiles for marketing purposes.

We may display third-party advertisements within the app. These advertisements will not be based on your sensitive check-in data, personal journal content, or relapse disclosures. Advertisements may be based on general app usage, device-level advertising settings, or contextual factors, but not on sensitive check-in data.

04Sensitive Health Data

Check-in data — including urge levels, relapse disclosures, and personal notes — constitutes sensitive health-related information. We treat it with heightened protections:

• It is stored in your private user record, accessible only to you and our systems.
• It is never shared with other users, employers, insurers, or third parties without your explicit consent.
• It is never used for advertising targeting.
• It can be deleted at any time from Settings → Delete My Account.

ClearSignal Wellness is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

05Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud platform that provides encryption at rest and in transit. Firebase operates data centers primarily in the United States.

Access to your data is controlled by security rules that restrict reads and writes to your authenticated account only. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems and only when necessary for support, security, or legal obligations. We do not manually review personal check-in content except when required for support, security, or legal obligations.

By using ClearSignal Wellness, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States.

In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

06Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of third-party services to operate ClearSignal Wellness:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, data storage, and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Google Cloud Speech-to-Text: Voice transcription (only when you use voice check-in with consent enabled).

These services operate under their own privacy policies. We select providers who meet our data protection standards.

07Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your profile, check-in history, and usage data are deleted promptly, typically within 30 days.
• Voice transcripts (if stored) are deleted immediately.
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot identify you.

08Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you (Settings → Download My Data)
• Delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete My Account)
• Correct inaccurate information by contacting us
• Opt out of voice transcript storage (Settings → Privacy)
• Withdraw consent for notifications at any time (Settings → Notifications)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR. To exercise any right, contact hello@clearsignalwellnessapp.com.

09Children

ClearSignal Wellness is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We require users to confirm they are 18 or older during account creation. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the effective date above. Continued use of ClearSignal Wellness after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
